Biography: Walter Irwin James was born May 9, 1889 in Pendleton Indiana. He married Myriam Poe, daughter of Lula (Lindemood) and Edgar Allen Poe, of Hancock County Indiana in 1912. They lived most of their married life in Indianapolis Indiana. After divorce in 1941, Walter married Leota Ettinger and moved to Kissimee Florida where he died in 1965 leaving an adopted son, Jimmy James. Myriam also remarried on January 26, 1945 to Edward A. Abney and they made their home in Indianapolis. Edward died May 14, 1972. Myriam died on April 27, 1974. Myriam had a sister, Doris Poe Wilson Brooks. Doris’ children were Robert Gene and Gerald Ray. These would be Geraldine & Dorotha’s Maternal Cousins.
