Biography: Susanna Bradner Carpenter was born at sea on the ship from Scotland to America in 1713. She married Joseph (Jesse) Carpenter in 1730 in Goshen, Orange, NY. Susanna died in 1809 in Goshen, Orange, New York. The information relating to the children was derived from Chris Clark. It is interesting that a Benjamin Carpenter is also listed as being married to Eunice Steward (Elizabeth Bradner & John Steward's Daughter)

Biography: Colville Bradner I was born in Cold Springs, NJ. He served in the Revolutionary War and attained the rank of Lieutenant. He married Margaret Moore sometime before 1745. It is claimed by a descendent of Martha (Bradner) Burt, living in Kansas (a Mrs. Henry F. Sprinkler, 101 S. Main St., Newton, Kansas, nee Anna Burt) that she has certificate of pay, or copies of same, for both Colville Sr. and Jr. His service is recorded under Captain Minthorn's Company in Colonel Hathorn's Regiment of Orange County. In Eager's History of Orange County, New York, there is mentioned (page 489); To Lt. Colville Bradner L5, 10s for taking horses home from Saratoga, by order of Colonel DeKay 1757. His will was made 03/16/1795 and proven 12/05/1799. Laura Bradner had a copy of the will.

In
brief, the will of Colville Bradner Sr states the following:
1) son Benjamin Bradner to get all the southwesterly part of the farm or
plantation where I now live.
2) To son John Bradner all the remainder or northeasterly part of the farm or
plantation.
3) To sons Benjamin, John and Colville in equal third parts all the cedar swamp
lot in the drowned lands.
4) To son Benjamin my negro man Quaffry, my negro girl Sarah (married) and 1/3
of all wearing apparel.
5) To son John 1/3 of all wearing apparel.
6) To granddaughter Margaret Burt, my side saddle that belonged to my late
wife. Will was probated Dec 5, 1799. John Steward (nephew) - executor.

Thompson.

Biography: Gilbert Bradner was born between 1720 and 1725, and died sometime before 1790. He married Ann(e) Smith.
From Frank Bradner’s Genealogy:
The date, place of death or burial of Gilbert Bradner is unknown. He was a Capt in the Walkill, Orange Co., NY militia during the Rev. War (Col Allisons Regmt - 1775) and possibly could have been killed during this war. However, NO Rev War records can confirm this. He did not leave a will, therefore making the identification of his children difficult

Biography: Benoni Bradner (Rev.) was born on May 7, 1733 in Goshen, NY and died on January 29, 1804 in Blooming Grove, Orange, NY. He attended Princeton College and Yale Divinity School. Benoni was the minister of the Independent Church, Blooming Grove, Orange County, New York. (From Ulster-Scott Historical Society, Law Courts Bldg. Belfast) Material supplied by Mrs. M.R. Bradner of Warwick, N.Y. He married his second wife Mary Jeans on 11/19/1796.

Graduated
Princeton (AM) in 1755. Honorary MA from Yale in 1758.
Settled in Jamaica, NY in 1760. Pastor of the Jamaica Presb Church 1760-61, at
which time he married his wife Rebecca Bridges (11/24/1760).
Removed to New Cornwall (Nine Partners), Dutchess Co,, NY in 1762.
Pastor of the Bloominggrove Congregational Church , Orange Co, (NY) in 1786
until his death. Buried at THIS church.
After the loss of his wife in 1777, he returned to his native Goshen, Orange,
NY.
Private in Rev War - second Regmt under Col Philip Van Cortland - Orange Co, NY
(May 5 1778 - Feb 7, 1779).
Inherited land in Newburg, NY from his mother Christian Colville Bradner.
